Day 4/Part 2 – Raja’s Seat, Madikeri Fort etc. Coorg

Our second last day in Coorg began with memorable outing at Dubare Elephant camp and rest of day covered the sight seeing in and around the main town of Madikeri and shopping of souvenirs. Popular sight seeing spots here are Raja’s Seat (The King’s Throne), Madikeri fort and museum and Omkareshwar temple.

A visit to Madikeri fort and adjacent Madikeri museum will reveal the rich history of this place.

It is said that Raja (the King) used to come here with his men to enjoy sunrise and sunset, hence the name Raja’s Seat.
